Halloween black and blue cheesecake

150 g of almond paste

4-5 digestive biscuits

1 rye crisp

20 g butter

a pinch of sea salt

2 dl whipped cream

200 g unflavored cream cheese

100 g of melted white chocolate

3 gelatin sheets + 1 tbsp hot water

2 tsp blue pea powder

1 tsp activated carbon powder

2 tsp licorice powder

A handful of finely chopped licorice candies (for example Wanhan ajan laku)


  1. Mix the base ingredients in a food processor into a smooth mass and pat on the bottom and sides of a springform pan. You can get a taller cake if you use a 15 cm pan. Put the base in the fridge while you prepare the filling.

  2. Prepare the filling by whipping the cream and adding cream cheese, melted chocolate and soaked gelatin sheets. Add 2 teaspoons of blue pea powder to the filling and mix until smooth. Pour half of the filling into the cake pan and add activated carbon powder, licorice powder and a handful of the finely chopped licorice candies to the remaining filling. Fold the black filling over the blue filling and cover the pan with plastic wrap and put the cake to set in the refrigerator, preferably overnight.

  3. Decorate the cake with licorice sweets and sprinkles.
