Halva's tasty liquorice has been produced since 1931 and it is Halva's most famous confectionery product. The production began in a former milk shop located in Kruunuhaka at Meritullinkatu 11 from which it was moved to its current factory location in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. The first confectionery selection included Liquorice bars and the Old time liquorice, which is made by the traditional liquorice cooking method. Nowadays the selection has expanded and it includes a range of new delicious flavours in addition to the old familiar ones.
The secret to the success of Halva’s liquorice products, for already many decades, has been the unique and beloved taste of the products. That's why we proudly call our liquorice the best liquorice in the world. The delicious taste of Halva’s liquorice has also been acknowledged abroad: more than 50% of the produced liquorice sweets are exported.
The mouth watering and delicious liquorice brings delight both at the festive table or as an everyday indulgence - and they are also suitable for sweet and savoury cooking moments.
