In the 1930s soft jellies were added to the Halva confectionery selection alongside the Halva products, hard candies, liquorice and wine gum sweets. The traditional way to make them is by boiling the ingredients to a soft jelly bulk, which is then shaped and hardened to a sweet. Soft jellies , already produced for many decades, are still dearly loved by customers. Nowadays they are also produced at the factory in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki together with the rest of the sweets by Halva.
